"Steve, from all G-d's creatures, thank you. Rest in peace"

Steve Irwin was killed Monday by a stingray while filming off the Great Barrier Reef.

"The world has lost a great wildlife icon, a passionate conservationist and one of the proudest dads on the planet," Stainton told reporters in Cairns. "He died doing what he loved best and left this world in a happy and peaceful state of mind. He would have said, 'Crocs Rule!'"

At Australia Zoo at Beerwah, south Queensland, floral tributes were dropped at the entrance, where a huge fake crocodile gapes. Drivers honked their horns as they passed.

"Steve, from all G-d's creatures, thank you. Rest in peace," was written on a card with a bouquet of native flowers.

That was a shock. You just don't expect someone who lives on the edge the way Irwin did to die because of some mundane sea creature. Sad.

I wonder if the real story will ever come out....Steve Irwin should have been able to swim circles around these rays.....It is too weird....the guy rassles with Crocs and brown snakes and is killed by a stingray....

strange

He will be missed, my ex step daughter and I always watched every show........I know she must be devastated by this.....
