Hugo Chavez made a speech at the U.N. yesterday calling Bush the devil and such. I know people wonder where I am going to fall on this one since I hate the war in Iraq and am no fan of Bush. I am only going to repeat John Bolton's comments because I believe he gave the perfect response to Chavez's speech:
"I'm just not going to comment on this because his remarks just don't warrant a response...Serious people can listen to what he had to say and if they do they will reject it."
I did not want Bolton there, but he summed up the speech perfectly. He added that the speech Chavez gave in America against America could never be given in Venezuela against Venezuela.
Well done John.

All I can do is echo your sentiment -- "Well done, John."
My own personal opinion is that Chavez is a loose cannon. If I were a world leader, he's one I'd be keeping under close scrutiny.
I LOVE that dancing mouse. I have him in my "collection" and will have to think up an appropriate piece in which to use him. He's too cute to use when I'm talking about, for example, rats.:)
Bolton is exactly the right guy at exactly the right moment....The last thing we need right now is some mamby pamby butt kisser smoothing up to these moron radicals like Chavez and Ahkmenjeniad........
Chavez needs to be assasinated, pronto.......Next to that we could grab both these idiots and brainwash them, lets send them home with chips in their heads.....They are right here....
LETS GET THEM NOW!
Chavez has the best insurance policy against that. He has made numerous speeches claiming that we would be the ones to do it if it happened. We need to keep him alive no matter what or else we will have problems.
Nah......I think we would be better off with him dead....The guy is a major trouble maker, making deals with terrorists and terrorist nations....
Who cares what the rest of the world thinks? Not me.....
I am sure you dug this part:
I don't think anybody in this room could defend the system. Let's accept -- let's be honest. The U.N. system, born after the Second World War, collapsed. It's worthless.
Oh, yes, it's good to bring us together once a year, see each other, make statements and prepare all kinds of long documents, and listen to good speeches, like Abel's (ph) yesterday, or President Mullah's (ph). Yes, it's good for that.
And there are a lot of speeches, and we've heard lots from the president of Sri Lanka, for instance, and the president of Chile.
But we, the assembly, have been turned into a merely deliberative organ. We have no power, no power to make any impact on the terrible situation in the world. And that is why Venezuela once again proposes, here, today, 20 September, that we re-establish the United Nations.
It just amazing to see a lowlife thug like Chavez get sustained and prolonged applause form the UN assembly.....Without the US paying the bills THERE IS NO UN....
We need to yank our 4 billion a year and let them move to Tehran or Caracas to throw there anti American pity party.......
Oh, and they can take Rosie with them....
I don't know how much applause he actually got. If you look at the picture on Drudge Report, it looks like the girl behind him is cracking up.
