Lemming II: The Return of the Kanrei

Call off the hounds. Cancel the port and harbor searches. Recall the National Guard and forget about the Amber Alert. I suppose you could give me the reward since I found me, but the point is the Kanrei has been found and returned. I know you were on the edge of your seat or bed as the case may be wondering what became of our favorite rodent. Are lemmings rodents? I think they are. Regardless, the lemming known as “Kanrei” is back.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I actually did. My father and I got along really well and he saw an adult for the first time I think. The gray hairs and bald spot might have helped him to see it possibly. I don’t know really, but it was nice to see an adult version of my dad. Retirement has mellowed him out quite a bit. He is enjoying life now I think and therefore is less bitter.

I watched the Super Bowl this year from pre-game to post. I know, more shocks. It felt like I was watching a different game than the officials. I have to tell you that I have never in my life seen so many bad calls and wrong guesses in my entire life. I am so ashamed of myself for speaking during a football game like I knew what I was talking about. Every instant replay proved me so wrong it. I mean I even backed the Bears and, in the 4th was saying “they can still win.”

“There are 39 second left and they are down by 12 Brad.”

“So, it could happen. They can still win!”

If any real football fans read here I have a question. I know Manning played for Tennessee and Grossman played for Florida, but did they play at the same time and ever face each other in one of those rivalry games? If so, who won?

Two Super Bowl commercials stick out in my head. I loved the "Rock, Paper, Scissors" Budweiser ad. The Coke "Grand Theft Auto" ad where the guy was helping everyone was great as well. The rest were fairly lame.
Good to be home even though it was far too short that I was away. Irony or a catch-22: you decide. My friend did too good a job of watching my cats while I was away. They were upset to see me walk through the door instead of him I think. He spoiled them. Their toys were out; the wet-food dishes were used; the treats were on the coffee table. My cats are whores and their love is for sales it seems. Now I got to buy them back.

Thank you for watering the plants while I was away and getting the mail. Till the morrow….

You obviously DID NOT watch last years game....Now THAT was highway robbery by the refs....It started a whole slew of 'Bad Ref' commercials.....My Seahawks got screwed big time last year....argghhhhhh

Glad you had a good time at your dads....See, I knew you could leave your townhouse and not melt...I had the same trepidation going to my moms....I knew it would be crowded to overflowing....My mom lied to me and said everyone canceled....For the rest of that story hit he PWZ football thread...

I think Manning and Grossman missed each other by a couple of years....Grossman is 26, Manning 30...I will check and get back to you on this.....

Yeah; overindulgence in wetfood is the beginning of the end. You can never really go back.

Welcome home to the Lemming House. Thank God the Outlanders didn't eat you.:)

Listen, dogs are whores, too. I've come home to find the dogsitter run ragged and the dog laid back like the Queen of Sheba.

Sounds like you had a good time. I'm glad!

I agree with you Kanrei...I thought those two commercials were excellent. The face slapping one was good too though. If only I could slap my boss like that....

Me hates bein the only person who ain't seen the supra bowl. What is everyone talkin about?? Colts? Bears. That be a circus?? How many points to change me quarters for a dollar? Me is truly confused.

Glad yer back Kanrei. Things get dull without you around.

Thank you everyone. I missed you all actually. That scares me I think =P

Rex,
That would make sense I suppose. They would probably have talked about their past games if they had. Too bad, it would have made a great story.

The refs made the right calls, it was me making all the wrong calls. It was so sad. Now I know I really have to turn in my "Right to Pee Standing Up" card.

Dogs are whores, but they have no memory. Cats remember forever. They finally came around last night, but only after my friend stopped by and did not feed them. They did go to him though, the whores..

The slap ad was funny and I could slap my boss like that, but she would hit me back and she is much stronger than I am. It would not be worth the thrill.

SM,
You missed nothing except a few funny commercials. The Super Bowl is basically the one time during the year that people use their Tivos to watch commercials instead of skipping them. Somehow Mother Nature was napping and a bunch of colts beat up a group of bears. Horses don't hibernate I guess.

BTW, Manning and Grossman missed each other by 4 years...Manning played 95-97 Grossman's one year was 2001.....
